Meetings, meetings, meetings!

It's hard to believe that we have only been back for one week but have already met with more than forty seniors! If you weren't able to sign up for a summer meeting with your college counselor, do not despair. The first day of classes will be here in exactly one week (gulp) and our calendars will be posted outside of our offices. The sign up process works just like it did in the spring; just stop by (or email) to find a free period on your counselor's calendar that matches with your free period. We are also available during lunch periods and after school.

What to bring to your meeting:

• An updated resume (if you have one). We are in the process of writing recommendations and would love to hear about your very busy summers, as well as updates about the clubs, sports, and leadership positions you will be adding to your schedule this year.
• Your thoughts and opinions about any college visits you did over the summer - new criteria for your college list, new ideas about majors, etc.
• A tentative college list (if you have one). Don't worry that you need to have a finalized list when you come in. We will help you with that and most seniors are tweaking their college lists until Christmas break. Don't forget that you can keep track of your college list in the Naviance Family Connection program as well.

We are not available for meetings this week because we are busy with back to school faculty meetings and a faculty retreat. Enjoy your last week of freedom summer vacation!
